Cache-À-L'Eau

So after spending all of her vacation being patient with mummy and daddy packing, moving, cleaning..Keira was due for some fun. We brought her to an indoor playground near our new (and old!) home: Cache-à-l'eau. Actually, there isn't any water at all.

The place is relatively clean and play area was pretty good for a two-year old. Most of the older kids there are day-camp kids with their monitors and they were pretty good helping Keira out when she needed it. We lost her several times but she didn't need us. Just wanted to play and follow the big kids!

We couldn't even bribe her to stop and eat lunch or snacks. She did stop by our table for sips of water. She had a great time and it was a nice break from all the unpacking for us.

Granby Zoo 2007

Finally! A vacation day. A proper vacation day. Off to Granby Zoo with mon oncle Richard! Or as Keira calls him, "hey...Reeechar". hehe

It's a great zoo, much better than Parc Safari but darn, it's expensive. Luckily, entrance fee for Keira was free. The zoo installations were pretty nice. Entire place was clean and convenient. Keira finally saw animals up close instead of the books we read each night. Lions, giraffes, elephants, gorillas, hippos (so cute!), flamingos, and on and on. But the animals Keira loved the best were...other kids! lol. Any kid, other kids, other people...Keira loves them all. Loves to follow them, imitate them, interact with them.

We also had a problem trying to keep her clothes on all day. She walked around the zoo half naked for the better part of the day, including at the pool! We buttered her up with sunscreen à la Bubbous (her great Uncle, Mr Hypochondriac).

Great day, all kinds of emotions from Keira (who didn't nap, of course). Great fun in the wave pool, couldn't get her out of it. Me neither btw. The pool was heated! I could have stayed in there the entire day. Was worth the price of admission. For some reason unbeknownst to me, I always attract the tweenie girls. Must have been the cap I was wearing but I always get approached by these little girls to play with them! Man, I really am short. lol!

Now...where can I find another outdoor heated pool to swim in??

Our New Home! Officially July 25th

Finally! After countless home viewings (ours), most of which either ran late or cut into Keira's supper, nap and bath/sleep time, we have sold our lovely little home. Why did we sell our beautiful home beside the park, bike path, babysitter and bus stop (lol) ? More home space. And a couple of other reasons hubby thought of. ; )

We had already viewed, liked and put an offer on our new home a long time ago. So we're very thankful and lucky to actually have it. Well, we'll officially move in July 25th. Not much time to start packing though. As luck would have it, it falls right in our vacation time which we had planned in January!

I'll miss this little perfect home, where Keira spent her first 2 and a half years. Sniff sniff! On to new memories to be made in our soon-to-be new home.

Live Earth... Also my sister's birthday! Spent the afternoon at my sister's and enjoyed a korean feast prepared by our mom. Yum! Kids always love sticky rice and chapchae.

On this Live Earth day, not always easy to practice what we should be doing: i.e. conserving energy, recycling, re-using etc..Especially with 3 kids running amok.

We've been able to recycle more lately because of the new humungous bins offered by the city of Longueuil. We don't have to sift and stack anything anymore. One huge bin to dump all recyclable stuff.

I especially love the new big bins that are everywhere. You can put in clean clothes, kitchen utensils, toys etc. You no longer have to call charities, churches etc to come pick them up. You go to the bin itself and they sort it themselves. Awesome!

We certainly haven't turned into bio-eating, hemp-wearing folks but when there are so many options out there readily available, it makes it darn easier!
