Ok, we have finally left the land of "Wah-dat? and dat? and dat? and dat?" to "Why he doing dat? Why she going there? Why the dog has tail? Why? Why? Why?!!! Pourquoi maaaa-man!" Holy mother of planet earth, give me strength and patience to wade through this phase. Can anybody give me a head's up of what's to come after this?

On top of that, Keira ends most of her sentences with.."blah blah blah, and because! hmf". So, there.

Finally picked up the photo we took with Santa at the local mall. Much better than the freebie at Dix30.

Disney Live - Winnie the Pooh Show!

Well, yesterday was our date to see Winnie the Pooh and friends at Théatre St Denis. The set decor was great, I felt like we were back at Disneyland. If I had been able to get out of my drug-induced fog, I would have enjoyed the show more. Keira's favourite part? Tigger's appearance! And we all had to jump like a tigger too when he appeared. Tiggerrrrrific!

Merry Christmas to all. Lovely lovely family time spent, too bad I'm sick as a dog. Spent a lovely xmas eve and morning with my sister. Twas a merry madness. Then christmas evening with the hubby's side of the family.

At the moment, Keira's at Grandma's sleeping in the sunroom, papa is watching Tête à Claques with his siblings (also at Grandma's)... and I'm home sneezing, coughing and posting some pics. A happy christmas to all!

Christmas Pyjama Day at School!

ok, raced home from work, grabbed camera and picked up Keira at the service de garde... found her in the gym dancing with a bunch of other kids. lol.

It's Pyjama Day at Keira's school. They decided to celebrate Christmas in a... non-denominational way? lol. I should have taken my camera to school and snapped some pics. Keira decided to wear her Bratz pyjama (shudder!) but I noticed how she is loving more and more of these brand stuff. Bratz, High School Musical, Hannah Montana... She wanted her hair in 2 pigtails and was so excited, she didn't eat breakfast (actually, most mornings she doesn't eat any breakfast come to think of it).

We gave our gifts to her teacher and monitor and passing the classroom that doubles as a garderie, I could see all her friends in their jammies peeking out the door waiting for Keira to come in. Most of them bigger kids all saying, "We're waiting for Keira Mae!". I barely got a backward glance or a kiss goodbye. hmf!

If only this was my last day at work too!

Here's an interesting book for us adults! It's a book designed and illustrated by a design firm called Brighten the Corners based in the UK & Germany. I think this book's interesting and lovely! All the characters are created in type using the QWERTY keyboard. You can purchase this book here though with the dollar being what it is...maybe wait til it's available through Amazon.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!

Winter blah...

Check out our slightly gaudy tree this year. The train set is supposed to go outside (donated by my sister-in-law) but Keira decided it's nicer inside.



It's really winter now. The icy streets, the 2-hours each way it took me all week to get from home to work and back, the cold I caught, all the snow-shovelling. To make me appeciate winter more, I volunteered to decorate the so-called graphics dept at work on Friday even though I ate and worked at my desk through my lunch to try to get home earlier, wrapped christmas gifts after Keira went to bed and have been looking up ski-lessons for Keira and myself at Mont St Bruno.

I think the only thing I'm looking forward to is the holiday break from work. My brain has already checked out. :s

It's been a weekend of hiding pressies, shovelling snow, hacking through the ice to get our mail, watching High School Musical 2 and trying to forget about my cold. 1 more week and it's holiday time!!

New Linen

I was going to go to my trusty Ikea and get Keira a warmer duvet cover in cotton jersey for the winter but saw this gorgeous pattern in cotton sateen at Simons when I was shopping with my sis this weekend! I love it, reminds me of warmer days when we were in Laguna Beach. This is from a company in Australia called Linen House . I really love it! Now...all I need is a bunged-up surfboard for the wall...
